Pacific Coast. Norwegian Cruise Lines prides itself on being the
first major cruise line to offer “Freestyle Cruising”, a concept which
provides greater freedom and options for cruise passengers.

NCL announced its role in co-sponsoring a large scale mass
rescue exercise in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands that took place
on August 9, 2007. The exercise participants included numerous
federal, industry and U.S. Virgin Islands agencies, in a simulated
scenario involving a cruise ship evacuating its passengers to St.
Thomas after running aground off the island of Culebra, Puerto Rico.

For candidates seeking employment aboard cruise ships,
Norwegian Cruise Line’s site is informative, even including
sections on life at sea and frequently asked questions. These
pages offer job candidates a glimpse of what they can expect
working at sea in a cruise ship job. It covers things like laundry
needs, communications, mail, internet access, recreation time,
alcohol policy, meal allowance and accommodations, which it
advises as being four shipmates to a cabin.
